Newton is a quiet town on the Choctawhatchee River in southern Dale County, the kind of place where homes sit on wide lots and neighbors know each other. It is also a town that bigger HVAC companies tend to treat as an afterthought. Wise Choice Heating & Cooling sees it differently — Newton is squarely on our regular route.
Homes and HVAC in Newton
Out here, many homes rely on a single aging system to carry the whole house, and some still lean on propane or electric heat that costs more to run every year. Outdoor units sitting under big shade trees collect leaves and pine straw that choke the coil. Wells, septic and long electrical runs on country lots can also complicate where a new system and its drain should go.
HVAC services we offer in Newton
In Newton we repair and maintain central air and heat pumps, clear debris-packed condensers, evaluate propane and electric heat for more efficient options, and install new systems with drains and disconnects placed sensibly for rural properties. Through the seasons
Fall in Newton means leaves and pine straw piling into outdoor units, so a quick cleanup before winter keeps heat pumps from struggling. Spring brings pollen and the first warm days when we test the cooling side. Older relatives living alone in the country are particularly vulnerable to summer heat, and we prioritize no-cool calls when someone at the address is elderly or has health concerns.
Distance and scheduling
Newton is roughly 32 miles from Black, well inside our 50-mile radius, so there is no travel surcharge for in-town or nearby county-road addresses.
My home in Newton uses propane heat. What are my options?
Many Newton homes can move to a heat pump for most of the year and keep propane as backup for the coldest nights, which usually lowers the yearly bill. We look at your current equipment, duct layout and electrical service, then give you a straightforward comparison before any decision.
